The REAL Irish Sea Moss (Chondrus Crispus): What is Sea Moss Good for?
Updated: Mar 9
I know you have heard or read or saw videos about Sea Moss from Dr Sebi, but do you know what and where to get the real Chondrus Crispus Irish Sea Moss?
A lot of people think Jamaican Golden and Purple Sea Moss is Chondrus Crispus (Irish Sea Moss), but it is NOT! It is not even grown in the same area. Chondrus Crispus Sea Moss inhabits in the cold waters on the Atlantic Ocean, New England, and Irish Coast (hence the name). It is grown on submerged rocks, being attach by a small disk. So, it would be hard to pool grow (not that anybody should buy pool grown sea moss, BIG NO)!
When sea moss is fresh, the frond of the sea moss is from 6 to 12 inches long and more or less greenish, but purplish upon drying, unless bleached. It is of slender and somewhat flattened base. Cartilaginous (rubbery), elastic with a seaweed like odor. The taste is mucilaginous (gluey gummy) and saline. The mucilaginous found so abundantly in Chondrus Crispus sea moss contains a kind of pectin which exist in ripe fruit and vegetables juices. It is called carrageenan or carrageen. Now Chondrus Crispus sea moss is loaded with sulphates and so much more!
Calcium Sulphate has the power to clean out any accumulation of heteroplasm or abnormal growths in the interstices of normal tissue. It causes the infiltered parts to discharge their contents readily, so that they may not lay dormant and slowly decay. This is the main cause of cancer, which feeds on decaying matter.
Potassium Sulphate is an oxygen carrier, with a powerful affinity (liking) for the skin and tends to keep the skin supplied with material for its healthy functioning. Sodium Sulphate is a remarkable edema remedy because it tends to eliminate water produced by the oxidation of organic matter which lodges in the intercellular fluids (fluid inside the cells).
Phosphates of calcium, potassium, sodium, and magnesium feed the bones, brain, liver, and flesh. Chloride of potassium dissolves fibrin and relieves catarrhs while its chloride of sodium regulates the necessary amount of water into your system, which we know is the great ionizer and producer of Vito-chemical changes in the fluids of your body. Finally, magnesium phosphate supplies material for the nourishment of muscle.
Chondrus Crispus sea moss is STRONGLY ALKALINE! It presents every cell in the body with those sweet organic alkaline salts of four out of seven metals which nature uses to build and vitalize the human body. It supplies enough sodium and potassium iodides to the glandular system (communication using hormones to regulates our ambitions and emotions, promotes growth and sexual identity, helps to control body temperatures, assists in the repair of broken tissue, and helps our bodies to generate energy) often changing the whole chemistry of the body from disease to healthy. I can go on and on about Chondrus Crispus sea moss without exhausting it and do not get me started on KELP!
